Don’t forget about family movie night tonight!!!
Your child has been bringing home packets of workbook pages. We do not do all, or even most of the pages in class. I do pull for the whole week though…so when it comes home you can encourage your child to do some of the extra pages for “extra credit” and I will give them an extra sticker on their homework chart when they return it. It is NOT required and some of them may not make sense to do at home. I also do not correct every page. Often I am looking at pages in small group as we work through it. I don’t correct every spelling mistake either.
Please send toilet paper rolls and items for scarecrow building to school to help the PTO prepare for the FUN Harvest Party!
We are still working on establishing our classroom routines so that we can maximize our learning. This is challenging with a group of 32 students so it is important that we work together to achieve a positive learning environment with as few interruptions as possible.
Here are a few things that will help our days go smoother:
Be sure to complete homework tasks.
Wear or bring PE shoes on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. I do keep track of this and we have a PE grant this year that will include assessments around PE skills and participation.
Remind your child to use the bathroom before school, at recesses on only during transition times, not during teaching times!
Please no cologne or perfume…some kids and adults are very sensitive to smells.
Thank you so much for your help in these areas!
